Regans: R2- When it goes cold

When Erica married Xander, she was over the moon. But as days goes by she realized, life was never a bed of roses.

She never knew nor expects her married life can be so lonely.

Of course she will never expect herself to be someone who finds company in the form of plants and animals. But in truth she was that person, her husband’s plants and stray animals were the only thing kept her from talking to herself.

Erica felt as if she was living in the same house with a stranger. But the different was she cooked and cleaned after him.

Together we share our pain, our happiness, our joy and our life forever’

Those words rung out in her ears whenever Xander carry on with his life like she doesn’t exist. For Erica, she did not sign up with a husband that changed job without telling her nor did she sign up for a husband that look at the TV set more than her. It was humiliating that she only knew Xander quitted from the Aloha’s mayor’s office and joined a law firm from Hunter her neighbor.

‘Did I say we only share a bed and the same house in my vow?’ she wondered.

Since she knew Hunter was happy in his marriage already, she became lonelier. It was not love between her and Hunter she knew for sure, just an understanding between two people in the same situation. And since their ties had been broken, so was their relationship. But never in her wildest dreams that she expect her salvation to be in the form of Crystal. The hated and detested Crystal Jackson. Erica found her maturity and understanding therapeutically soothing and so did Crystal. Hence, another friendship was forge under the ties of loneliness.

With Crystal’s encouragement and her ties with Aloha Women Magazine, Erica found a distraction from her marriage life. As a cooking column writer. Her articles and her recipes were surprisingly popular, as she earned more and more, her long gone confidence slowly coming back bit by bit.

The only thing that reminded her about the frailties of her marriage was the ‘making babies’ sessions. Once it was an expression of passion and love but now it was a source of tension and anxieties. As every time it was done and over with, Erica will be sleepless from the anxieties and doubts of her own fertility. It was never soothing for a woman to go to sleep with the fear that she might never get pregnant and would lose her husband for that.

Earned: $5478

Spent( excluding tax): $420

Tax Paid: $298

PS: Sorry for another depressing story. I hate playing this household. Erica can’t seem to get pregnant despite several tries, urg! If they continue like this I might just grant them a divorce.

  1. OMG she is almost in depression… :( What is Xander doing to her. Can’t they talk about this or go to some kind of couple counseling? If the baby is the only thing that can hold Xander with her then Erica should start to calm down about it and start thinking about changes in her life. Like getting Xander to move out.

karen: Not only she is getting a depression over the situation, I’m going nuts over them as well. Xander is a career driven guy who happens to be in that ‘i need a son’ phase. Hmm, maybe a divorce should be in the order.
