Regans:R1- Of housewife and maid
Erica married Xander, whom she think is a perfect candidate for a husband. While Xander married her because Erica look motherly enough to convince other she is the perfect Mrs.Mayor for his dream of becoming the Mayor of Passion Island. Can they achieve their dreams or will their marriage last?
A new beginning, a new life huh? Well seems to be like that, a barely furnished house with unpainted walls. Interesting. I have no idea that Xander was so eager to be a father until I stepped inside the new house. He practically ripped off my shirt and skirt and yup we end up doing it on the couch. For goodness sake the windows were wide open and there are no curtains or whatever we use to cover that.
After we done it, he straight away jumped out to get a newspaper. How romantic is that? ‘I have to get a job, honey. I want to be the mayor and you will be Mrs. Mayor. So we have to work hard from day one!’ he said that to me when I asked him to come over and cuddle up a bit like we always do when we are in the Mansion. Well, he did get a job straight away, as a campaign worker for some big shots in Aloha Island. And boy, he worked his ass towards his goals like hell. He was promoted the first day he went to work. Talk about efficiency.
Xander left for work everyday very early and instead of saying ‘I’m off to work honey, take care’ he said ‘Remember to take out the trashes, wash the toilet and pay the bills’. What am I? His personal assistant or his maid? And yeah I did whatever he asked, I’m the biggest husband fearing wife in Passion Island!
I have the facts to back that statement. I always talked on the phone with Piper and Hunter. Their married life is not as terrible as mine. Well, Piper is a homemaker like me but at least Tyron pampered her like a princess. He bought a car for her after she gave birth to baby Sean! As for Tara, she can go out and work while her husband a sensitive and caring guy clean and cook for her. How about me? Stuck in the house.
All I do in the house was clean, fishing, watch TV and play some dumb games on that PC Xander got from that Humble guy. Where is my husband when he had off days from work?
He used the bonus from his two promotion and built what he called ‘The finest greenhouse’ on the island. So his holidays were spent in his little bird cage of a green house or playing that dumbass games he loves so much.
The times he actually will pay attention to me was when he was hungry but too dumb to make his own supper. He actually dragged me up from my sleep to make Apple Turnover for him! And oh yeah, he paid attention to me when he wanted to make babies and to asked me if I’m pregnant or not. He told me a man with a complete family can go further in his career and he even hinted that I should see a doctor on why I am not pregnant yet!
His constant bossing and interrogation bout my fertility state wore me down. I felt so depressed and alone. Fishing seems to be my only solace, I thought no one will be as miserable as I am but one fine day Hunter visited.
When I turned around he just hugged me and literally wet my shoulder. It was awkward but I just let him hug me and felt his tears staining my shirt. His action surprised me and if by normal day I’ll deem it as inappropriate but that day, my caring side took over.
He calmed down after a while; I invited him in for lunch. He told me over the lunch that Tara lost their first baby because of her stubbornness. Her refusal to eat and rest properly due to her eagerness to get a promotion caused a miscarriage. She seemed to feel nothing over the loss and even hopped off to work shortly afterwards. But what hurt him until the point of breaking out in tears was her conversation with Crystal. She told Crystal that she was glad the pregnancy ended unexpectedly as she was not happy at all with it. I felt sorry for him; all he wanted is a family. I did not tell him about my thought about Tara but I shared my problems with Xander with him. He understood. It was such a relief, finding someone who could understand my feelings.

Very nice chapter. I just couldn’t wait till you wrote more. Maiby Xander and Erica aren’t the perfect match…But some say that opposites may be attracted. It’s good that Hunter came over because it seemed to help Erica. Can’t wait for the next story!
Karen: Erica should know better than marrying a workaholic, Hunter is a sweet guy.

I kind of hope that Erica and Hunter do end up getting together. It would be a bit rough on Xander and Tara to start with, but it might be for the best . . . well, I guess I’ll have to wait and see what happens!

omg, Xander needs to get his head out of his own ass! What a self-centered jerk!
Poor Erica and Hunter, they seem better matched than either of them do with their spouses, but I have the feeling Erica isn’t going to give up on Xander (I would lol)
karen: The question is will Xander even allow it? But the main reason for his meaness is his eagerness to be a dad. Well, he automatically woohoo with her everyday after work but still no results.
